Cancellation of the Finals 3/23
Hello Blobby community. Unfortunately, the last final games could not be finished until today because GK unfortunately disappeared and he didn't give any more feedback. Hello Blobby community. Due to puffik's rejection and chipsy's absence, the following procedure would be possible: gulogulonr1 takes over for chipsy and the reigning champion, Mr. Enderson, would step in for puffik if everyone agrees! Unfortunately, ShinyArceus did not register within the deadline. We would make an exception here! If he registers in the next 3 days so he can play. The matches are then re-sorted. Season 2/23 brings the finals back to life
The finalists were able to prove themselves again this time in exciting games. With a tie on points, Mr.Enderson and ShinyArceus went to their limits in the decider and fought an epic BV battle that the reigning champion won in the end and ShinyArceus swept away with silver! Future of the Blobby Volley League
After some consideration, comments and discussions in the last few days, I must admit that it's hard to shut off the league entirely. I had hoped that Benni would continue he league on his own, but he doesn't want for reasons I can understand. The complete shutdown of a system that works on the whole, is also something radically. Goodbye (and thanks for the fish)
The Blobby Volley League wll be shut down the 1st of October. You can find the (machine translated) decision below. Overall, I have led the league now almost 7 years. The first 2-3 years I've played here. The next 2-3 years I have not played, but still serves as administrator and programmer the league for the joy of community. And I've always tried to lead the league prudent to take the wishes and opinions of all into account and make fair decisions. The price for me is now too high. The fun I had in running the league weighs, the work and the eternal discussions and grumblings on no longer. The mood has established itself here, I do not accept any longer. I'm not willing to sacrifice my free time for this community. New projects are waiting for me, and sometimes old things must give way to make room for new. After a lengthy discussion with Benni, we came to the conclusion that this is the end of Blobby Volley League. Benni can not and will not take over the management of the league and there is no one else with the necessary technical and internal knowledge of the league. Therefore, the page will be shutdown at the end of the season on 1st of October. A login will then no longer be possible. The Facebook page of the league will remain open. If you want to continue to play can do so at the Crazy Volley League. I thank all who have helped make this last 7 years so much fun and especially to those who have helped in the team and in particular Benni. It was a great time that I will not forget. New final rules
There are a few new rules for the finals: 1. There are only 4 players qualified for the finals 2. Final-Matches are automatically rated for the alltime-ranking 3. The winner of the final (match 5) is the new champion. The finalists can agree, that the player from the losers bracket has to win twice. This decision has to be sent by both players via support request before the match.

There are good news: chameleon wrote in the last few weeks a 'crazy' new league for all Blobby Volley players! The idea for this new 'crazy' league is, the games aren't played with usual rules. Instead of, you will play with unusual rules. Good examples are 'Jumping Jack' and 'Sticky Mode' where you have to non-stop jumping up or stick on the ground with your blob! New Blobby Volley Server
Because of very instable servers nobody has programmed a workaround. If you visit blobby.sf.net, you will see the point "Server für Direct Connect". There, everbody who wants to host an own server, can subscribe his server. If you want add your server to this list, you have to registrate yourself on the website. But how server-hosting works, I can explain to you - just right a support. In the list you can see which server a available. To use a server from the list, click on "online game" in the Blobby Volley and then on "direct connect". There you can enter a server from list. As an example bvbenni.dyndns.org that is my server which is running on my notebook.

Within the last months the activity in the German League page decreased. One of the reasons for this, is that we always had a German and an English page, which were separated from each other. The last quarter of the year can begin
The season 3 / 09 is over and the finalists have been announced. On the last day of the season could Abiok still earn a place in the Top8. This time we have two new "features" to the Finals. Let the games begin
The Tournament can begin. We have 42 players who have signed in into the tournament. So we have a lot of wildcards. Players, who got a wildcard don't have to do anything in this round. They will get the win automatically at the end of the round. The other players must contact their opponents and play their matches in the 4 days of the round. Every player whose match can not be player within this 4 days, has to write a support request. Have fun!

Singin period expired
The signin period for the torunamend is expired, now. The players, who are too late can signin into the waiting list (signin button on Personal Site). If tournament players get disqualified for inactivity in the first rounds, players from the waiting list can join the cup. All players, who signed in into the tournament have to confirm their signins by the button on the Personal Site. Everyone, who does not confirm his signin, gets disqualified.

communication with german players
You may know the problem, that a german player talks to you in german and you don't understand. The german players can see, that you don't speak german in your profile and in the online list. So, they will talk to you in english and you don't get communication problems.

It is not only important if you win a match or not, it is also important with how many points you win it. On the challenge-Site, you can find a Calculator to test the new system. Alpha 7
An inofficial Alpha 7 Version of Blobby Volley 2 has been released. The most important change is, that you can choose player-names in the options, so you don't have to do the secret signs anymore. Please download the new version form the Download-Area and choose your league name as player name. You don't have to edit the config in this version. The replay-function doesn't work properly in the new version. It records things, that were not played.

Changes for the separate leagues
There have been some discussions about the league separation. So, we will change some rules: 1. Top-players can challenge other players. These matches will count for the alltime-ranking only 2. There are 50 players in the top league, now 3. One activity point disappears already after 15 days. §5 changes to: Every "Blobby Volley League Game" contains 2 rounds. But the two playes can decide to play one round, only. This have to be decided before playing! In this case, the players enter the same results for both rounds.

Blobs in the online-list
You maybe have already seen it. Every online player has a Blob in front of his name, now. with this Blob, you can see if the player is a possible opponent or not. The meanings of the Blobs are: red = The player does not accept any challenges. green = The player plays in the normal league. gold = The player plays in the top-league. white = The player has no matches in the actual season, yet. You can see this meaning when you stay over one of the Blobs with your mouse. Additionally, the online users are no sorted by the last activity.

The season is over
The season 2/07 is over. The players who have been qualified for the final are EatmySocks, napster, aim! and Hinseman. congratulation and good luck! The season-ranking have been resetted. We have changed some rules in the new season: 1. Eight players will play in the next final. 2. The formula for the activity points changes. Forum posts doesn't count anymore. Every player has one point less than now. So, completely inactive players will have -1 point. 3. When there are 50 players in the new ranking, the ranking will be splitted. The 20 best players are in the top-ranking and can play against other top-players, only. Niklas.de refuses to play Blobby Volley 2 Alpha 6 in the final, so Bundescancler2 is the new champion. But if Alpha 7 will be released in the actual season, the final will be played and the champion will be changed if Niklas.de wins.

Some of you will already know that Niklas.de don't want to play Blobby Volley 2 in the final, because of buggy balls from Bundencancler2. But Bundescancler2 don't want to play Blobby Volley 1. There is no rule for this case. Our decision is that Blobby Volley 2 is the normal version, which have to be played. But the two players can wait for the next Blobby Volley 2 version if they BOTH want, too.
