przemas posts:2 | Hi everybody!I want to discuss about the fair play at BV matches.Rule no. 7:\"If one player has the impression that the other one couldn\'t reach an easy ball because of a lagg, he should (as a matter of fairness) jump on the ball to give the serve to his enemy. If the serve is given to a player althoug there were no lagg he should give it back by jumping on the ball, too.\"It was clear, when we played with old volleball rules. Player who give the ball with his serve, do not lose the point. It was fair.But now, let\'s imagine the situation:I lose the first set 15:10. In the second set the result is 11:9 for me. I have good pass and big chanse for win the match. Suddenly my opponent has a bug.. So, I give him the ball, and there is 12:10. In next 5 minutes he has next bug... I\'m fair, so i give him the ball again. There is 13:11... I lose the match despite the fact that i did\'t lose any ball from a long time! It is NOT FAIR!I think, giving the ball back in situations similar to decribed, shouldn\'t be a question of fair play. I think the last point of rules is good answer: \"Every player should use his common sense.\"So, you can\'t demand the fair play when it will destroy the game of your opponent.What do you think about it? Thank you Eatmysocks.Of course I agree with Cumpa about calculating points. New rules of playing -> new rules of pointing... |
